This concept has now become a reality - check out
for more details.
Following an overwhelming number of responses to our initial
news piece, we are pleased to
announce that we will be taking the Club MSV Endurance Race Series
concept to the next stage.
Having discussed the idea with a number of trackday drivers,
potential competitors, MSA scrutineers and the MSVR team, we now have an initial outline
for the series. However, at present nothing is set in stone so we
are still open to suggestions!
Something that we feel that can sometimes get lost
in competitive club racing is the fact that it is all about
you, the competitor. Ultimately, the events are hosted for the
drivers and therefore the ultimate goal for our series will be that
all competitors have fun in taking part whether that is on the
track or at the post race parties.
Classes and Honorary Winning Categories
We want to retain some of the competitive elements of racing
with trophies for the winner of each of the four power to weight
ratio classes. However, we also want to add a number of
categories in order to reward teams for their efforts and add to
These could include but are not limited to:
- Most sporting team
- Against all odds trophy (team who have overcome the most
- Best entry
- Most bizarre entry
- Best paint job
- Dynamic duo award (for a team that has shown total
cohesion and unity)
- All the gear, no idea award
- Driver of the day award
- Support crew of the day (award for a support crew who
have made a particular effort. This may also be awarded to a team
that brings their own grid girls!)
We want to arrange some prizes for the winners of these
categories. If you're involved in a company that is interested in
offering a prize in exchange for sponsorship, please get in touch!
MSVT will be offering track day vouchers and driver training as
Each meeting will take place on one day and will consist of a 30
minute practice / qualifying session followed by a 45 minute race.
Races will be from a standing start and safe, clean passing will be
strongly encouraged (particularly for the first lap). We will be
holding driver briefings before each race to help instil
gentlemanly driving etiquette in all competitors and there will be
penalties as per the MSA regulations for any drivers who do not
adhere to this code of conduct.
During the race, each car must conduct a mandatory two minute
pit stop where driver changes will occur. Those racing alone must
walk around the car before setting off for their second stint on
Each race will be approximately £299 per car inc vat -
that's just £150 per driver!
We are currently looking at the following calendar:
Brands Hatch - March
Snetterton - June
Cadwell Park - August
Silverstone - October
Brands Hatch - November
All cars must meet the standard MSA scrutineering requirements.
For a guide on what you will need to do to your car, see our
We already have an idea of what cars we want to see in this
series and have therefore put together an eligible list of cars. However, this is
not an exhaustive list! If you would like to enter something that
is not on the list, please get in touch.
All competitors must self-certify the power of their cars. The
power will need to be officially verified at one of several MSV
approved rolling roads. Each car including one driver will be
weighed on the day.
Cars must also comply with the following regulations:
• Meet the basic MSA standards for safety
• Be no more than 200 bhp per ton. (This may increase to
250bhp per ton, depending on the feedback we receive)
• Be a minimum weight of 750kg
• Have a standard exterior floor
• Have wheels no wider than 1inch more than the standard
• Slick tyres are not permitted.
• Turbo cars must be fitted with a restrictor plate as per the MSA
Rally Car regulations. This is to ensure boost consistency
throughout the races.
